GCSE SUCCESS FOR STUDENTS AT ELLESMERE PARK HIGH SCHOOL IN SALFORD

Ellesmere Park High School is celebrating after another year of excellent GCSE results.

They join teenagers across the country who are finding out their GCSE results following exams in May and June.

The youngsters have had many challenges to face, including the disruption to their education during the pandemic five years ago, when this year’s GCSE students were in their final year of primary school.

Despite this, Year 11 students across the country are celebrating fantastic achievement at GCSE, with the students of Ellesmere Park being no exception.

We have seen a 10 % increase in students achieving grade 4 and above in English and Maths, and an 8% increase in students achieving Gade 5 and above in English and Maths. These are the best results far many years at EPHS.

Among the high performers at Ellesmere Park were:

  • Libby Broad, Rebekah Lane 7 grade 9s and 1 grade 8 and Charlie Backhouse 1 grade 9, 2 grade 8, 4 grade 7, 1 grade 6 and an additional GCSE in Further Maths grade 6.

Iain Ross, Headteacher at Ellesmere Park High School, said: “The students at Ellesmere are second to none and these results demonstrate this in every way. We are very proud of our students and their excellent GCSE results this year. These outcomes are a testament to their hard work and determination, particularly in the face of the challenges they have encountered in recent years.  I wish all our Ellesmere Park students every success as they move forward into the next stage of their employment, education or training.”

Michael McCarthy, CEO at Consilium Academies, said: “A massive well done to all our students at Ellesmere Park High School for their GCSE success. It has been an honour to play a part in shaping their journeys, and our dedicated staff have worked tirelessly to equip them with the knowledge and skills to follow their future paths.
